Lucite Side Table

This table is a Hollywood Regency Tricolor Lucite Table. Say it out loud. Hollywood. Regency. Tricolor. Lucite. Table. So nice.

The interior design style Hollywood Regency dates back to the 1920s in Hollywood, California. It was the Golden Age of cinema and the art & business of the industry depended on glamour & mystique. Huge, beautiful sets were constructed bigger than life to enthrall the masses. The films themselves had style for miles. Actors working on these sets longing to emulate the fabulous, exciting lives they portrayed on the silver screen. They had their own abodes polished up in glam style. Glamour is addicting.

The Hollywood Regency blueprint was a derivative of 19th Century Regency design, but with a modern twist. Designers Dorothy Draper, William Haines, and Paul R. Williams were on the forefront of this singular Los Angeles style that you can still see today in films, television shows and throughout the City of Angels.
